This time of year is so fun and festive that you just can’t help but get into the Christmas spirit! And who better to share it with than your significant other, fiance, or spouse? So, I’ve come up with 12 days of dates leading up to Christmas that are sure to get you feeling all warm and cozy inside.
The 12 Dates of ChristmasPosted on December 12, 2016
Date #1: Turn on the Holiday tunes and go for a drive to look at Christmas light displays. There are a few local neighborhoods and parks that have Christmas light displays every year. Facebook is a good way to find what Christmas displays are going on in your area.
Date #2: Get your chef on and make a Christmas themed meal complete with a batch of freshly baked cookies. Whether it’s roast beef, pasta, or a hot dish, make some of your favorite traditional foods.
Date #3: Go ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, or snow tubing. All of these activities are fun ways to get moving and get outside during the colder months. Also, this is a fun date to go with on a group for carpooling and group discounts.
Date #4: Go to a Christmas parade or festival. Christmas festivals always have the best food, music, and things to do. Check out your local news or events on Facebook for parades and festivals in your area.
Date #5: Have a Christmas movie marathon. Hot coco or popcorn are the perfect treats to munch on during the marathon. And there can never be too many fuzzy blankets!
Date #6: Make homemade ornaments together. Use what you have around the house or go buy some supplies at a craft store. From globes to Santas the options are endless on what you can make.
Date #7: Do you want to build a snowman? Build an icy friend out in the yard then add some personal touches like one of your hats and some mittens. Afterwards, you might just have to watch the movie Frozen!
Date #8: Check some presents off your list and go Christmas shopping together. It’s always nice to have someone there for second opinions and to boost morale after your 5th trip to target that day. Treat yourself with a warm drink from Starbucks to keep your energy going!
Date #9: Go see a Christmas play. Whether it’s The Nutcracker or The Christmas Carol, seeing a show is a relaxing way to spend an evening. Grab a nice dinner before or after the show!
Date #10: Bundle up and go on a walk through the snow. Crinkling your boots through snow and having good conversation is the absolute best!
Date #11: Go to a tree farm and cut down your own tree. You can use some of the ornaments you made to decorate it and add some candy canes for a touch of sweet.
Date #12: Exchange presents with each other. Whether you have a big budget or you’re hand making the gifts it will be a special time!
